Yuval Moses

I am a registered licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-R) in the state of New York and a Certified AEDP therapist and Supervisor. I have over 15 years of experience working as a psychotherapist, supervisor, trainer and teacher.

I received my MSW from NYU where I am now part of the faculty and a Field Instructor teaching and supervising master level students. I received my undergraduate in Psychology and Liberal Arts from Ben Gurion University in Israel.

After graduating from NYU I worked for Westchester Jewish Community Services treating adults, families, children and couples. I joined the clinic’s DBT team and ultimately became its leader. Later I formed and supervised the DBT team at Columbus Park, an eating disorder clinic in NYC. Today, alongside my private practice I am a Clinical Supervisor at The Crime Victims Treatment Center treating survivors of interpersonal trauma and supervising staff. In addition to individual therapy I run skills groups and a processing group for male survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I also teach Human Behavior courses and an elective I developed on the role of emotions in psychotherapy at the NYU Master of Social Work program.

I have years of experience treating anxiety, trauma, complex trauma, childhood sexual abuse, borderline personality disorder, depression, relationship issues and stress issues related to the many and often conflicting demands of daily living in a city like New York.

I have worked individually and in trainings and courses to illuminate blind spots associated with being a white man. I continue to do this work on an ongoing basis. I work with individuals who identify in diverse ways and strive to create my practice as a safe, anti-racist and non-judgmental place.

Born and raised in Israel I moved to NYC to get my graduate degree from NYU. I speak English and Hebrew as mother tongues and treat in both languages.
